Description
Late Saturday/Early Sunday my cousin was killed. A man burst into the appartment of the women Christopher was visiting. Christopher moved to protect them, and the man shoved the barrel of a shotgun into his stomach and pulled the trigger. Christopher was only 21
Needless to say Christopher died instantly. His funeral is Saturday and I've been told to expect a closed casket.
The man was captured by police, and arraigened for Christopher's murder Tuseday. Now not only do we have the nightmare of a death to deal with, but also the ordeal of a murder trial that will surely drag on for years.
He was a wonderful boy, and we will miss him horribly.
Yes I know about the flaws of the image, particularly the feather going through his fingers and arm. She's an angel, she's etherial. Actually, I did this image for theraputic reasons, and I didn't want to tear my hair out as this was a painful enough image to do. The errors are as much a part of this image as my feelings and the reasons for creating it.

The image is wonderful. The pain and dispair obvious. Even looking for the flaws, I do not see them. In the face of such a loss there are no words to comfort. I'm glad you have your art to find release.

I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. Your art dedication to your pain speaks volumes. I feel for your family. The image itself is wonderfully done regardless of the pokethrough that I don't think I would have spotted. A filter called "atherize" used for postwork and enhancement would have turned the feather portion beneath the hand into a shadow. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss!
