Description

Well.... I've finally taken the plunge. After using Terragen for so long, and being incredibly frustrated with the Alpha build, I came to the dark side. Vue is a really nice program, and I hope to exploit it in the ways I did with Terragen. (Check out my gallery for details...) I hope you all enjoy this first render, and any tips and suggestions are kindly appreciated! -Aaron T.

Welcome aboard! Try to play with bump and scale of the materials. If you use import terrains, try 2048 for better details or play with procedural terrains(256) ;-)

Welcome to Vue. No dark side here, just a cleaner and more efficient interface! Oh, and trees that you can actually see in the viewports! You may want to increase the "aerial perspective" value in the atmosphere editor, you can go well over the value of 10, by entering manually a value in the box. Depending on the size of your scene, a value of 40 gives better results, adding depth to the scene.

Your Terragen work looks sensational and I think you'll appreciate Vue, even though the terrains aren't the same at all. The work you've done here looks excellent.

Wellcome to the "green" side ! Terrain are to be explored in the procedural editor, and with your excellent experience with Terragen, you should do marvels. Can't wait to see your coming work !
