loving the concept and the composition, one thing that could be improved upon in postwork (imo) is that you seem to have a very red colour cast over the whole image... this can be easily reduced. I took the liberty of opening this up in PS (just to check my assumptions) and applied a Blue (82) cooling filter (under the photo filter adjustment layers). The effect is that you get a lot of detail back in the leaf which is the focal point (which is a bit oversaturated with red atm), and also the background is less "red" which in turn increases the eyes focus on the leaf, which is what i think you were trying to do in the first place, so i hope you agree that doing so is a good idea :)
