Description
A background I created for Dave's (zaqxsw) "Mad Dog" Dungee, of Narleen.
His original plan was for him to be shipbpoard, but he didn't have a model nor could find a decent usable background, so I volunteered to do one for him.
I am honored that he accepted it.

The ship is Daz's Medusa with a lot of playing around with textures, surfaces and lights.
Sky is from Worldbase-Xtreme-Kit
The water was the hard part.. still not completely happy with it. It was done in PSP.

I saw the image this went into, and you did a splendid background for it. The background stands by itself, you have to know, as you have much moodiness here and yet real sharpness of detail. The area with the ropes & mast (are my terms ok? I know nothing of ships: I'm referring to the high pole on the left) is very sharply done, with fine shadow & perspective; and there's fine movement back there too, between all the wood & ropes & different hues. The foreground has fine shading too...a kind of moody undulating shading. All backed by a dark moody sky. Fine work, Sandy, a very fine moody evocation of an old ship at twilight, before a storm, or just doused in the mood of impending conflict. Very caringly done.
