Description

I watched him from my window As he slowly drove away My heart beat so loudly It echoes through the bay I wondered as we waved goodbye My tears beyond control Would this be our last farewell He takes with him my soul ************************ Once just a little boy Toy guns would be his play Little did we know How real it all became one day ************************ I stare out of that window Hoping that one day The echo sounds no longer cry My son comes home to play ******************************** Written by yours truly: for all mothers everywhere bryce background finished in photofiltre:

Because it's you I won't go beyond papal infallibility to universal conscription. I do wonder why the sherrif's now wear four stars on their collars. Maybe someone who knows about constables knows why. The state national guard commander is a brigadier so who do they report to? The colors look good to a homeless person.

Wonderful image, wonderful thoughts and prayers. So most of us can live in freedom, some of us offer their lives every day.

Beautiful poem and Image Evie. Excellent tribute to all that have been lost or will be lost through the stupidity of war. I especially feel for all the lives lost in Nam. I made it back but many didn't. And what did we accomplish there? Nothing! The South still fell to the North! And we let it, because our leaders thought we could start something there that they should have known couldn't be finished! And we're doing it again in Iraq! As soon as we leave Iraq, democracy will fall. As soon as we ousted Sadam, we should have left and not try to force a democracy on the Iraq's that don't want it. When we leave, a civil war will erupt and democracy will get the boot. So all those lives lost from the fall of Sadam, to ths day, will be a waste. It's so sad and the stupidity behind it should anger us all! So on this day, remember the lives lost to protect our country but especially those that have given their lives for nothing. Nuff said.. Anyway, super posting Evie and Hugs from Dave :^)
