Time: The near future The plague of war has infected America. The war is not Christians against Muslims, not America against another nation, but American against American, brother against brother, father against son. The Ministry of Homeland Security has become a military dictatorship. There is no President. There is no Congress. There is no representation. There is no one to listen. There is no education. There is no freedom. There are no rights. There is only the rebels and the Ministry. The rebels and their families live in the underground, which has become radioactive from the toxic attacks of 2027. They've lost their hair, their health and their lives, but they haven't lost the spirit of freedom. Caught in the middle is one little girl who only wanted to play with her doll in the sun. She ran to hide when she heard the Ministry surveillance copter coming over, but she forgot her doll. Now she's torn between safety and her only friend...... I needed a new book cover sample for my portfolio. I may have gotten carried away. This was one of those pieces I loved so much I had to make myself stop working on it. In art, there always comes a point at which you have to stop or overwork it.
