AloooooooooHa!
I am truly humbled this weekend at birth of not one but two grandchildren. My daughters BOY, as I predicted and many of you did also from a previous picture of her before birth, is pictured above...little Jaivan. Jaivan was brought into this world on Fri. May 25 @ 3:30 pm after 14 ours of labor through C-section. 8lbs and change, 19 3/4 inches.
My stepsons baby Isaiah, was born on Sat. May 26, after many hours of labor through C-section also. 7lbs 8 ounces, 20 inches. He was no surprise as I knew he was a boy..but I'm so happy for both of them. I cannot take credit for Isaiah's image as it was taken with my sons cell phone and and sent to me...I worked in PS to color correct it.
Both parents and babies are doing just fine, with no complications. They will be a little sore from the major surgeries, but their little bundles of joy will lessen the pain.
As predicted I'm up to my ankles in babies and damn glad the waiting is over. Thank you all for your well wishes....I'm off to see my grandchildren....seems so weird for me to think I'm a grandfather....but I'll get over it.

The best thing about grandchildren is you do not have to be "the bottom line" raising them. You can be the supporting audiance. :-) I became a grandmother at 40 and it nearly took the wind out of my sails! I had to prove I wasn't an old, doddering crone so I took myself out and did a bungee jump for the first time. The shock of jumping off a tower with only an ankle strap sort of surpassed the shock of becoming a grandmother and I've been just fine ever since. :-)

Oh my goodness Dave, did you ever get the one two punch, only with two bundles of joy!!!!!! My heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! What a way to jump head first into grandparenthood!!!!!!!! They're sooooo sweet!!!! You must be just beaming with pride!!!!!!!! We know they'll have musical talents if they're anything like grandad!!!!! What a wonderful blessing to have two beautiful grandsons. They are both very cute and sweet. I have four grandsons and couldn't be happier and I know from personal experience that you are in for a wonderful life playing with those boys. Being a grandparent is the greatest thing ever.
