Description

How much she's grown! Above is Angela's current version, with much tweaking of her eyes to go for more soul and depth, and a fair amount of tweaks to her overall materials - darker roots on the hair, her skin looks more natural (at least to me) and has the rich tan I was trying for. Lots of fiddling with the DAZ Nadia textures by Thorne/Sarsa in Photoshop. Many other little tweaks. Angela, Heaven-bound, is Victoria 4.1 with modified DAZ Nadia textures by Thorne/Sarsa, wearing Lisbeth's delightful Kathy Hair. Rendered in Poser 7, no postwork. Realism is not a big goal for me, I'm going for a certain look - and this is very, very close, possibly just right. Feedback is very welcome. Wanna see something? This is where she came from. A very early render of Victoria 3 in DAZ|Studio with some texture I can't even identify. In retrospect, it looks wretched. Please don't laugh. download.php?fileid=29793&key=9141"Angela Original Face"

Oh yes! The eyes are great. Still blond but she has charm and softness now. I would stop at this point...

Pretty sure I have a crush on her : p The eyes still aren't all the way there for me. The white seems too white. Even at full size I notice no red in the outer corner. The iris area is beautiful, just the whites now that don't seem quite right. I like the roots darker alot. The red eyebrows still iffy for me. That dimple is adorable and her lips are stunning.

It's texture and mapping that makes the figure, not its polygon count. Here's the proof rightr in front of your eyes. The mapping of both is th esame, but it's the improved texture that has brought out her beauty. With Posette, I remapped her so that textures such as the above could be applaid to her too, and the subsequent renders have born me out. The top image is superb, and shows the hand of the artist. The second image is terrible, but does indeed illustrate the evolutionary growth in your skill and knowledge, and has merit as such too. All in all, this picture is exceelnt in so many ways, it's hard to list them all. DO keep up the good work. David P. Hoadley

Is there anything more to say when someone finds perfection? I dont use to appreciate an image for its degree of realism. I think that somehow realism, if not well managed, could take us away from art. And though this image has a superbly fine realistic "look", you still can find grace, candour, and a hard-to-find human vibration. Thanks for sharing!!!

Very nice texture. The skin is much more natural although to me it looks as if she has a base coat of makeup on. Very good look very good work on this.

What a difference! She is a great character with really expressive eyes. The skin looks a tad to bumpy for my taste, but the impact is breathtaking.

Definately a far cry from the original. The eyes lack depth, and veins in the whites, which pulls a bit away from an the ultra realistic look of the rest of the figure you've created.

Very good. She's lovely and she does have angel eyes. The lips are just awesome! The lighting is perfect. When i compare the "before" and "after" in IT related stuff, what comes to my mind is: what we think is great today, we will think it sucks tomorrow. So, in, say, 2012, you'll be posting a new Angela and you'll think that the one of 2007 was not that special. That fills me with the urge to travel in time! But, in 2007, your Angela is indeed special and she's lovely!
