Description

My daughter was 'babysitting' her friend's Chinese Water Dragon, and I decided it was a good time to try to photograph a lizard. That baby was hard to photograph! I took about 50 pictures and only came up with a few decent shots. But it was a learning experience. Hopefully I remember what I learned. ha. Thank you everyone, for viewing my photos and being kind enough to leave comments. I am in awe of the beautiful pictures I find here and am so pleased that you take the time to look at mine! Thank you!

You did good. I've shot a lot of reptile pics, and have never captured a look like that. A little Paint Shop work would fix that sore snout of his, and you would have a gallery piece.

very nice shot, composed excellently and well exposed. I'm with bruce/pushinfaders here... you seem to have caught something in the animal's character :) if you have a photo-editing software then you might want to try removing the green colour cast the whole image seems to have - "Auto colour" in photoshop or similar program would definitely be an easy fix and would bring out the colour detail in the lizard - if you dont have any programs then google "the GIMP" it is a free image editing software with a lot of functionality.

You captured a lot of character in this reptile- pretty amazing! Excellent clarity in the focal area, and great depth of field to focus on the "face" of this little guy!

Kudos! I just dont think im gonna ever get that brave. Its one thing to watch for gators in the wetlands here but its totally different coming eye to eye like that, even if you did zoom! I love the shot, its just grand! Wonderful job.

This is a gorgeous image of yet another of my favorite type of creatures...oh, lets face it, if they have scales, lots of legs, cold blood or whatever, chances are I like them. But anyway, this is a beautiful capture and full of personality as well. I love the vividness of it. Fantastic work. Hmmm...on a riff from toddaking's comment, rather than a truck (since I don't have one) I wonder if I should risk painting my bedroom that color!
