Description
This old road is on the southeast side of Mt Hood. I discovered it almost by accident last weekend. Sometime soon I'll walk it to its end and see where it goes. This is in fact the road you can see at the bottom of the Laurel Hill Chute from two days ago. Wouldn't the pioneers have welcomed a paved road. :-)

Such a contrast between this and the chute. Serene and peaceful. It reminds me that so many things are like that. There is only a thin veneer on the face of many things.
