Description

I have always been a little jealous of people who write poems. Maybe because I have poets in my family. But seldom I can feel the words flow freely from my pencil. Suzanne has reaally triggered something in me. So here I did the second best. I translated a poem written by an anonymus girl 17 years old, given to the Swedish film director Kay Pollack, when he searched for characters to his film "Love me"

Gun, dear one, that is really wonderful, and so true. It reminds me of that saying about treating others as you want to be treated. This poem explains why. I have seen miracles happen by just believing in and loving someone, form those close and those we meet in our work. This is quite a gift to share with us, Gun. I love your image. Not only does it portray the masks, but it is gender non-specific in appearance. Perfect for the poem. Thank you and big hugs, Suzanne x:)

Love heals all, especially within ourselves. Such poignant words of truth from a writer/poet so young, but then youth is always so honest and perceptive. The words, and your artwork, paint a perfect picture of a character for a movie who is saying, from her heart, 'Love Me'. CC

Such a wonderful essential question Gun! I am just about to go fishing but I ve seen your image and your wonderful poem so I must leave you a message, I love it and it causes so much questions that my mind is running wild :) I try to imagine how much power we can save and use for more important things once we have thrown away all these masks? A dream I know. Compulsions, education, hope and despair, so much to handle, to deal with, to learn for each individual, but some do not achieve it and cannot live with a mask, I am afraid they have to pay for it or they remove it often enough so they can breath freedom again! Hugs Gun & thanks for the injection :)

I feel thesee words can apply to many individuals, regardless of sex, but only a few men would admit to it. The words hit home and I can identify easily. Thank your or sharing a very meaningful work or art with words. egmont

A beautiful combination of image and words. Nothing you do could ever be called,'second best'. This is wonderful, Gun...especially the double imagery and your soft color palette. -M :^)

GUN, I think there is a typo in line 3 - "the" should be "them". Having pointed out the obvious, I like your multi-media work and would be interested what sounds/music you could put behind the image and words. Have the movie industry Art departments come knocking on your door yet?
