Description

I've decided to put my tripod to some good use, as recommended by a friend :) and so I set it up by my bedroom window, where the feeder is. This female Hummingbird sat there for darn close to 5 minutes like this. Lazy or what? lol She was just sitting there... so content. Every once in a while, she'll dip her beek and have a drink. Anyway, I liked the clarity of this shot .. i think the tripod is the way to go with me. But what a hassle, lugging that thing around. I have a monopod, too, but, haven't had much success with that; unless that just takes some more getting used to. Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments you may leave. I appreciate your input. Have a wonderful day! Shari

Wow, you don't usually see shows that capture the head and chest feathers with such detail. Wonderful shot - like it posed for the portrait.

This terrific image does not need the 3D treatment, but I have to admit that it does add serious depth to the photo. Great work -- super detail (another lazy one, eh?) The tripod helps tremendously, doesn't it?

One of your best as far as clarity and detail is concerned! The lighting in the eye is excellent. I should use my tripod then too? Well done, you can be proud of this capture.

I too have a feeder out side my kitchen window and i love seeing these wonderful creatures coming for a visit and drink. I find your post work excellent and the design element of the rim of the feeder leaving the inner frame a perfect touch. Thank you for sharing. egmont

You have redefined " correct depth of field" in this photo of the hummer and the feeder. Excellent shot.
