"You kill 'em, we grill 'em!" ~ Bart Simpson
I'm playing around with the postwork again, trying to achieve a balance between stylization and realism. In this photo it may seem a bit more heavy handed than in the last, but it all comes down to what one thinks works best for a particular image. I like the overall shape compo of this scene so wanted to eliminate tiny distracting details. A combination of filters in varying strengths were used, including diffusion, posterization, diffused glow, film grain, poster edges, and of course conversion to a monochromatic, almost sepia look. I like it. THere is a lot of character in this and you can almost 'know' the personalities of these two.

I'm not really involved in BW photography so I cannot see where the postwork has been done! In other words it's a fabulous BW shot with a beautiful light contrast to their outfits!!!

I love the postwork! And the view reminds me of a scene from the Food Network that I watch - one of the grill-off shows. :-) Really good shot and work.

The light and compo is really great I love the shadow on the clothes and the floor. Great work

It seems to me, but your work is similar to the fiftieth years. A remarkable photo

Those two guys look like professionals ! I hope they shared the spoils of war with you ? interesting postwrk FX. ~Cheers~ :o)

What a wonderfully natural scene. I love the tones and the "old" feel to this shot. Whatever the postwork is that you used, I think the end result speaks volumes. Great capture. xx

Excellent B&W life capture!!!!!!!!

rump steak on the barbie........hmmm yum! very nice shot

Keen balance and detail in this shot. You took the grand tour on the filter express, and the guy on the right looks like a barber. Since it's such a subjective matter, I don't know what to tell you about which filters to use.

Very nice work!

I can almost piy myself in this shot. Oddly the B/W makes it more real instead of surreal. BJ

Excellent Once Again!!

I hope you didn't have to wait too long for a morsel from their grill. That colouring is great, not B&W or sepia. Inbetween. Nice shot.

Nice job with the pw...I think this is the kind of image you can do practically anything to and it would look cool, but b/w was definately the way to go. It gives it a very photo-journalistic look. Well done, Kortie. Me likee.-M :^)
