Description

I was very recently in Lincoln playing chess, and had an afternoon off to go to nearby Lincoln as I arrived at the Cathedral I heard the cry from the towers of perigrine falcons, and they put on a wonderful display for me.. It seemed a strange coincidence It is curious to note that time after time interesting coincidences and synchronicities popped up during this visit, especially when I began to conclude that in some way it was almost as if we were involved in a game of chess

Circlular chess! Oh my gosh, something new for me to read up on! I love it. I used to be totally obsorbed in chess growing up, playing my first game against my grandfather at the age of 8. I was the club president of the chess club in high school and for 3 years I played a game against other members after school on my back patio. I taught it to my children at the age of 7 and my grandson is now a member of the chess club playing against other schools each month. He has my old carved wood set now and I often find him challenging his uncle at our kitchen table. I'm not much of a player now. During the late 670s, for a few years, I played games by mail with service men and British family members. But about 15 years ago I stopped playing altogether. Now I just help my grandkids with the game and watch their brilliant minds at work. This photo is great and so is the info on the chess game!

Well I may have lived in Lincoln, but I am ashamed to say I never went in the Cathedral!!!??? What a beautiful place. The gothic architecture is amazing and the vastness of the ceilings leaves one feeling so small. A wonderful capture Danny. Brilliant. xx

It seems like a very impressive cathedral. I know how hard it is to take photographs like these. The contrasts are sometimes very difficult, but you managed to do a very good job here.
