This is my first modelling work on human head. Rendered with Vray. The hair is post production using Photoshop.

The modeling doesn't look too bad, especially considering it's your first try. The painted hair doesn't seem to work for me in this image. It looks unfinished in that regard. Also, the eyes can use some specularity and a hint of reflection. I think the main thing you need to focus on improving, aside from the never-ending battle with organic modeling that we all go through, is using Unwrap, and painting proper control maps for diffuse, specular, and bump channels for your models. Good effort!
