Description

This is an old image that has been lying about on my HD for ages... I was never satisfied with it so it was destined for the bin - "one more fiddle" I thought - and I came up with this. It reminds me of those very large 18th/19th century landscapes you might see on any museum wall. Now it's out there I will finally dump the render. Thank you all so much for your recent comments - what I need now is criticism to bring me back to earth. Thanks again.

Nice one, closer to renaissance painting for me ;) Just one thing maybe : the frame is too big for the picture, eats too much space and doesn't leave enough space for the real point of interest. Just an advice....

A beautiful work ! It wouldn't be a good idea to throw it to the bin...

You're right...it does look very much like an old painting...a bit out of focus and dark but, the softness is lovely...still, where's my Lord of the Rings?....I want my Lord of the Rings....back to work....LOL

Extremely old school and well done Rob!!!! This is the sort of painting I have hanging on my walls right now. It's a pic of an old scottish home with the distant mountains and surrounded by trees. Excellent render!!!! Colors and all perfectly done.

I agree Rob....Definately like one of those 18th/19th century jobs!!....all it needs is a massive (overly ornate) gilted frame to finish it off!!....^_^....Cool!!
