Description

The Gunflint Trail is a year-round vacation area surrounded by the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and runs 57 miles from Grand Marais on the Northern Shores of Lake Superor towards Canada. The fire known as The Ham Lake fire burned for most of the month of May, destroyed 75,000 acres of land and 140 structures. The fire has been contained but land will be scarred for a very long time. Thank you for viewing.

This is an excellent shot! Nature has a way of renewing herself, hopefully this wasn't an arson fire.
