Description

An updated picture from my ongoing cathedral project. This is a completely new model (ie version 3) based very closely on Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire, England.

Awesome model. The dark pillars seem a bit out of place... Other texture maybe?

Actually I think that stone texture on the pillar is the actual stone of the pillars at Salisbury Cathedral. A TOTALLY awesome modeling job. I am overwhelmed.

Thanks for the kind words, folks! Dragongirl is right - the pillars at Salisbury are decorated with shafts made from Purbeck Stone, which is a form of black marble.

Looking good my friend! If there were an award for the most detailed tS model, you'd have it sewn up!!

This is an amazing bit of work no matter what package it was done in. (Well I know it's trueSpace, but I'm just saying.) Send this in to 3D World magazine.

Wonderful, Phil. That must have taken you a couple of minutes to put together, hehe. I actually saw it from the train station and bus station on my way to the stonehenge, but it is one of the few cathedrals I did not find time to get into. Next time - soon. Karl
