Description

This was built in 1838 and even now it is an impressive design. For many years a family home of one branch of the Clan Grant, then a newspaper dynasty family, a junior school for Gordonstoun and very recently the corporate HQ for Walkers Shortbread who you may know from the tartan embellished tins which linger on long after the sweet biscuit taste has faded. Being located in the North of Scotland it was also one of several locations used for battle planning during WW2 . This is one of several studies which I made for the current owners. I held the camera above my head and during postwork adjusted the distortion to get the verticals correct.
