Hello, and thanks for stopping by...the above picture is of my kitty and me...
So, let's see...I started working with 3d art programs around 2005. My dad gave me a copy of Bryce and recently I've switched to Vue. My aim has always been to create a fantasy world that is both realistic and alien, a place people could explore and about which they could wonder. As a young boy I was greatly influenced by Tolkien's Middle-earth, starting, of course, with the Hobbit. As I got older I discovered the Silmarillion and the other books of Tolkien lore, and being already very interested in history, I found them fascinating. It is because of this that I began to do the same, to create a world. Up until recently it had always been of the written variety, with lists of kings, histories, etc. I also love to sketch strange plants and animals, and hope one day to really be able to bring them to life using 3d.
Well, that's about it....thanks for stopping by!

Excellent models! Nice to see somebody taking Xfrog beyond the usual thing of making ultra realistic models of existing plants (what Xfrog is very good at too).

Good ones, but I think I prefer the first version better. On the other hand, it never hurts to have some variations when it comes to plants of any kind.

Absolutely! Your work is like viewing pages from the Alien Galactica Botanica! Such beautifully realised vegetation!

Ditto again. (I guess that's redundant, but you know what I mean.)

Really cool the way these ones grow. It looks like when the branches are young and small they can support themselves but as they get bigger they get too heavy and are forced to grow downward instead of upward. So there's a sense of reality but they also have a cool creepiness to them, like melting candles. Great design.
