Description

Here, in the hi-res widescreen version, is my entry for the April/May Bryce Challenge - "Old Stuff". Hopefully it fits the bill in some way. Quite a moody piece - a bit sad, too, I think as its a home that was never built, the start of something warm and wonderful, but left to decay. Perhaps one day it will fulfil its real potential. My favourite part of this image is how the horizon just blurs out into the sky, as if the world goes on forever.... Enough of my ramblings! ;-) All my own work done in Bryce 6.1 with no postwork. I'm pretty sure all the mats (even the excellent pitted concrete) are all Bryce standards, but please let me know if you recognise the creator and I'll credit them accordingly. Hope you enjoy it, and your comments are always much appreciated!

Awesome! This one reminds me a lot of a story I'm writing. Great color and atmosphere; I like how the water sort of melts into the sky.

this is cool. There a house around here that was started building in 1990 and was stop before it was finish. It still there today. No one live there never . I going to have to phot that house one day. So sad to see soneone dream goes like that

Excellent image. Sad, like you said. A strong sense of desolation and emptiness. To me it is more akin to something that was once there, but was destroyed by some catastrophe. Well done.

Actually I saw it as a dream that died, ala like the hundreds of thousands of homes I saw destroyed while working down in NOLA for 7 months after Katrina Aug 2005-Feb 2006. Just my instant take seeing the stumps of where a house stood, water receding, and nothing left behind but those markers where a house/home once sat. Your Mileage may Vary, Da Rotter

Beautiful composition, and great feeling for atmosphere! Like the color palette, too, as it fades far away from sea to sky... Well done!!!
