Description

A eye candy piece for the Angels fall first Universe. It depicts swarms of ULA infantry scrambling to capture a downed oposition cruiser which has fell straight into their laps. Originally this was going to be a quicky sketchy concept piece for the FPS (First person Shooter)game of Angels fall first called "Planetstorm" but grew into a finished piece as several of my piece's have (to learn disipline I must..) The model ship already existed and was "wrecked" by a member of the AFF development team. I heavily adjusted the colour in photoshop and tweaked the wreckage in photoshop. The rest was painted in photoshop. All the photo reference was my own (ground and air) and figure reference was used (yup it's me) for poses. Wow, what a super action scene! (Wouldn't want to be under the ship if it falls over, though!) It looks HUGE and that is a fantastic effect!

You really captured the scale and drama of the scene, reminds me of a scene in Final Fantasy, The Spirits Within. Excellent work.

Grammar and spelling aren't your strong suits and you could do a lot worse and I still wouldn't care if I could keep seeing pictures like this. Great action scene, scale, composition. LOVE the ultra-thin vapor trails. One thing that stands out are the color of the army. This might be a conscious choice on your part just to make sure we see them all, however it makes them look a little more pasted-on. I think that light armor would tend to pick up warm bounce off the terrain especially as the soldiers moved into the distance. All in all pretty fuckin' awesome. Now I'm off to check out the rest of your gallery.
