I dedicate this to Mike "mapps" my business partner for his birthday.a day late but he feels like he is running a week late from moving into a house-his first home of his own. congratulation Mike took this yesterday at my favorite place for critters I said thanks for putting my Bluebonnets in the art charts but did not realize I had a fractal there also.first time for 2 at the same time.thanks a thousand

Wonderful macro shot- impressive detail! I too have the Rebel XTi and just ordered my first macro lens today (canon 100mm f1.8 USM)- your shot gives me great inspiration and anticipation for its arrival, and the wonderful world of macro photography!

Oh my gosh! This IS a dragonfly! I just saw the wings! I can't even get close enough to get something that's barely a macro, let alone close enough to get something like this! What's your secret? Super glue on a leaf?

Excellent close up. This appears to be a dragonfly, one of my favourite insects. Not just because they are beautiful but because they hunt mosquitoes. Very important.
