I realize this isn't the forum for a rant, but it really isn't the forum for a competition either and that's exactly what posting in this gallery has become...a competition. I'm really disappointed in R'osity for making this change. I know most of you don't care and will probably be relieved that I'll be turning off ratings at first and maybe even comments (although, don't get me wrong, I love your comments as much as anybody).
If I wanted to enter a contest, there are plenty around and this is NOT one. Ok, nuff said

Gonna have to go read whats stirring at Rendo again. lol I do agree that Renderosity has made things so much as a competition. I also cant stand when people have friends vote for their work or the ever unclassy thing is when people cheat and have various sign ons. How can you be proud of your work if you cheat like that. Please dont turn off your comments. People love your work specially this one so elegant and beautiful.....Shannon ;}

well stated...i too have been thinking the same thing...comments are always nice, but not if they are only done so they will be reciprocated...and this rating thing is really for the birds... now that i've had MY say :)...your image is really a beauty...love her outfit...nice job with the gravity for beads and earrings...excellent work!

Bravo for your comments and your image, Diana. Both are right on! I turned ratings off long ago and don't rate images anymore. It seemed silly to me for artists to rate other artists works. and 1-5?!!! Why not use words instead of numbers...
