This magnificent Benedictine Abbey which commemorates one of the most famous events in English history, the Battle of Hastings on 14th October 1066. Come to think of it. There where also another battle this year at stamford bridge right before William the conqurer did invade brittan as the last person that managed to conquer the british isles. The battle at stamford bridge did exhaust the saxons and made it easier for Wiliam to get into the isles. It is nice to see a pic with a history behind it. Very good capture.
