Description
I was fortunate to be invited to a business meeting that was being held inside the Auburn Cord Museum in Auburn, Indiana. During the breaks we were free to ramble through the museum to feast on the beautiful cars, and history of automobile manufacture. The car pictured here is a very special experimental model, originally designed as a 16 cylinder but assembled as a 12 cylinder after the owners determined that they could obtain the same horsepower out of the 12 cylinder. When the E-1 (Experimental 1) project was stopped, the car was parted out with the parts being shipped to far corners of the United Staes to insure that no one would be able to copy the design of this true beauty. Paul Bryant, a collector and lover of the Cord's beauty, found the body of the E-1, he spent the next 28 years looking for the remaining parts to reassemble the car to it's original state. Many stories were told about each part as it was obtained for the car, but they are too many and too detailed to be shared here. I will have to take a notebook back for my next trip to the museum. This is only one of the many exciting cars available at the museum for our viewing pleasure, and I plan to take it all in.

Perfect shot!!

I had a lot of difficulty in picking the shot due to the number of small lights they placed all over the place. Highlights everywhere to contend with, and I am not a very good photographer... yet.
