they are bad for gardens because they eat your plants.excellent capture. I just learned the other day that some slugs can emit a nasty caustic acid that will burn the heck out an unlucky person

hmmm, slugs are my least favourite garden residents, we tollerate them because they make good food for native lizards and frogs. Nice image, he looks quite jelly-like and slimy in this shot. I like his curled pose, but I'll let you keep him. ...Di (Hexagonal Mandala)

We get these little land skimmers all over the place from spring to fall. I've got tracks up the side of the house and they've even found a way in the back door. This has to be the most endearing portrait of a slug I've ever seen. This is the one they'll use on slug awareness day to say "Hey, slugs are people, too!"... In response to your question about my photograph, that was Bridgeport Airport which, interestingly enough, is in Stratford, the next town over.
