Description

Been a while longer to post than usual, after trying some experiments on the image here. Tried to capture a high degree of realism using Poser facial textures and lighting, combined with painted hair and cloth postwork. There were many times when I wondered why I had started this, and if it would ever get finished. So finally, here's the end result of many weeks work and a seriously worn out graphics tablet. Dedicated to my family and friends for all their help, suport and endless patience. Many thanks for looking. With this image your work suddenly moved into a completely new dimension of realism. Where does the render end and the post-work begin? This image defies description or definition: Alethea's expression is coy, 'what is on her mind?' one wonders. The lighting is very consistent and allows good background-subject matching, adding a lot to the realism. This is a work to study carefully: as carefully as it was composed.
