Description

Somewhere in the "Araxis Quadrant" lies the planet Cecropia and it's moon Nilos. A Federation Penal Colony was constructed on Nilos by the inmates who are kept in detention there. It is a class 4 moon, barely habitable by earth standards, but quite suitable for prisoners serving life sentences. The Colony is almost self sufficient except for monthly supply drops from Federation "Halcyon" Ships, and was designed to be a "Xanthian Paradox" - maintain the facility and it's protective shield, or perish. There is no escape. The only alternative to an early release is working in the Polonium mines of Cecropia, and Nilos is 289 light years from civilization... but not far enough away to protect them from Cylon Raiders...
