Description
Carmen Miranda not only inspired the Chiquita Banana trademark, she was also the inpiration for this graphic. Her outfit mimics the colors of one of the species of Brazilian macaws (which is the reason why I perched on on the hand of the "sambista.")
This graphic allowed to me to make use of those chained beads which I created during the later part of 1990 using CorelDraw's PhotoPaint IV. They have remained dormant until now. :)

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your comments. I do appreciate it very much. The beads... Zuze, aliwonder, Toribev... I made those beads in CorelDraw's PhotoPaint 4. I zoomed in to a rediculous size (the max), and them colored each of the pixels using light gray and black. Then I used three shades of the bead color to give it highlight and shadow. I did that for each one of the colors (not shown are magenta and purple), replacing the gray with the desired color. The eye pin findings (the wire thingy going through the bead) I made using two tones of yellow. Lighter yellow for the highlight side and darker yellow for the opposite side...except in the section where the finding goes through the glass bead. Here the finding color changes to match the glass color. For example, in a red bead, you see the finding through the glass as pink. Since this was at a pixel level, making the round top of the eye pin takes only a few colored pixels. These bead strands were originally saved in .gif format. I never got the chance to really use them. Poser now gave me the opportunity to do so. Zuze, most likely they will go into hibernation again. :) Jo, thank you. The end of June is usually brutal for me. On July 6th, my wife and I are flying down to South Beach (Florida) for two weeks. After that, I shall be free to play again. :) I am taking my laptop with me (Isn't that sick? LOL), so I might get to fire up Poser there as well. :P Thank you again. Thank you Tina. Huggs back. :) You know, I feel like I am cheating when I add the postwork. ~grin~ I wish that I could do everything in Poser and not add other media. But the other media is what I know. :( I tell you, I would never be able to do what you do... even if I were to actually totally learn Poser. I find Poser to be a difficult program to master. I get confused just reading the books about it. Yikes! :) delbeke, I agree with you. She was quite a personality. Before trying to mimic Carmen Miranda in Poser, I did some research online about the lady. I learned some fascinating facts about her life and career. Clemente
