Thanks for the comments on the WIP I posted yesterday. Here is a more complete rendering of the ship.
One comment from Revelation-23 was that the sail going right roung didn't look quite right. Thanks for the input, however, the sails in a complete circle was really the main point behind my original idea for this model, so sorry to say I can't backtrack on that.

Very nice model. Quite beautiful. You might also be interested in some of NASA's research into solar sails: They have found that you don't have to build a physical sail, just project the right kind of magnetic field so that it interacts with the charged particles within the solar wind. Pretty cool stuff.

As for size, dunno, I guess it's up to the viewer, although I wouldn't say it's a BIG ship. not compared to some I've made. Another interesting point is direction. In my mind I see the sails at the front of the ship, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

I've been looking at your work (on several images). There's a distinct style that's very appealing. Definitly captures the classic Sci-Fi look. Nice use of color, lighing, and isolation. Good job on the modeling.
