Description

The Roman catapult, the onager, Latin for wild ass, was a very large and cumbersome piece of equipment. It could fire rocks of up to 150 lbs to be used to smash through walls and fortifications. This render is more of an illustration than art...a bit small I know but I liked the way it turned out. Onager built in C4D. Thanks for having a look.

I really like the detail. Somehow it reminds me of a game I used to play called Diablo II.

A wonderful scene! I love the posing of the characters and that trailing sling on the catapult that has just fired is an incredible touch! Superb :)

A really superb work. Maybe the rocks werent' so spherical. I saw some here in Italy ed they were more rought and crude. Anyway it's gorgeous and I like your "miniature" working style! 5+++++ Flavia49

Absolutely excellent documentary work in a genre in which you are a master. Deserves my admiration as a formerly technical illustrator!
