The story is terribly sexist. He was the one who won the race, that is to say, he is himself already with only the male half of himself. As if the millions of losers in that particular race need a grave and a monument. The image, however, is wonderful. I see a winner there, a bird with a green moth in HER mouth. Teehehe.
