Description

I know it is a fly but what species I don't know. It is a very small fly. I was about half a centimeter long (approximately 1/5 th of an inch)

Must be a member of the Hairy Hunchback family of flies! LOL!!! One of the ugliest flies I've ever laid eyes on but you did a bang-up job of shooting it!
