Oh ma gosh! This brings back sooooo many memories for me. When I was 16 my daddy bought one of these, it was baby blue and in mint condition, I thought I was queen of Friday night driving that thing around lol Thanks for this image - makes me remember a time before dirty diapers, homework, and dishes :)

This was the era of fibreglass hoods with hood pins. (as well as fake ones only stuck on top.) It did have the cowl induction instead of the dated NACA style slash scoops. All that work in NASCAR (Smokey Yunick) with underhood pressures and the high pressure area at the windshield base paid off. I hope nobody thinks Big Daddy Roth or some other crazy painter was responsible for the look. I like this clean look with the shortened rear overhang. In my current study of JWT any comment of "nice ad" would relect my lake of conviction. I had moved on from the Chevelle in 1967 but I was still looking just not buying.
