Description

Another picture of Warwick Castle with the old Mill alongside it that used to be used to grind grain to make bread, however with the advent of electricity it was converted to generate power from the river Avon. In December 1894 the work was completed and 475 bulbs were lit to the delight of Countess Daisy as it coincided with her birthday. By modern standards the lights would not have been very bright but those who saw them thought them wonderful! It has now been fully restored and helps to generate power for some of the attractions at the Castle.. Thanks for looking and any comments you care to make.. Sorry exif data Canon 5D 24-70mm L lens at 28mm f16 200th sec ISO 200

Wonderful!!! The POV and overall composition are superb and the clarity of the details combined with the contrasts are amazing, especially in full view (must zoom in to appreciate!). I love the reflections in the water too. This has a wonderful mood to it. Excellent Danny. xx

What a wonderful view of this magnificent castle, made even lovelier by the reflections in the still waters of the river Avon. A gorgeous capture Danny! I bet if you sent a copy to the Warwick Tourist Board they would love it. Enjoy what is left of the week and roll on the weekend!! Eileen xx

Low head water power in such an historic setting is probably safe from environmentalists.
