Description
My favorite frog in my father's pond. He's the only one with eyes like this. He's the same size as the rest of the bullfrogs but his eyes and markings are unique. If anyone knows what species he is I'd appreciate it if you told me.

Excellent detail, the marking on this frog are very pronounced. I think this is a North American bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana)

I think it is the American Bullfrog introduced in the 1900's as a possible food source, and they escaped and are very good predators which has endangered much of the other wildlife that frequents ponds and lakes. This one has unsual markings and the eyes are unusual as well... A cracking image John, and I like the bubbling water there in front of Mr Frog

oh my gosh! he's incredible and the shot is too. Great color and compo. Clarity of the water is marvelous. The frog is stellar. I love the markings and the eyes are huge and rich. No mistaking him for another!

Oh how lucky you are! I love frogs and once had a pond myself with tree frogs, all kinds of little fish and dragonfly larva. I miss our pond from the old house. Thank you for sharing. egmont
