Hey all.....This morning i became an american citizen...i had been waiting for this day for a really long time...i love this country and i really mean that....so u ask....whats with the picture?...i mean..its supposed to be the happiest day of your life...well it is...but...after being in the Miami trafic for 2 hours...almost running out of gas...94 degrees..cerimony lasted for 2 hours..(it was beautifull by the way)..and then trying to find a gas station afterwards...and a Mac'ds...it was too much for my head...by the time i got home i had this huge headache..so i picked up my cybershot and snapped this picture...and i did my usual wierd post work on it...the finger nails were dirtyed up on purpose...and the lines on face and fingers too...i wanted it to capture all the hard work i put in all this years to finally say the star spangled banner is my flag...

First thing..Congrats on becoming a citizen !! The best thing is..now you can bitch and complain like the rest of us!!! I like the raw gritty feel of this image, and the sheer emotion of it..

Chachi.....I'm brazilian....funny thing thoug..they had 94 countries representing there..there were over 3000 people...they called all the countries out and people would stand up according to their nationalitites...they had called out all the countries and only about 500 stood up...then they called cuba and haiti..the rest of them stood up...so i would say over 2000 were cubans...
