from the most dark antiquity the moon.s temple resist the time and the scotish elements here in Killmartin a little village that generations after generations saved for us this marvellous stones.

I wonder what makes experts think it had to be spiritual. Maybe someone just like the look of them like huge garden ornaments. :-) I somethings wonder what will happen when 1000 years from now, scientists unearth my empty shower gel bottle... will they think it was some ritualistic ointment used in a ceremony??? This is a very interesting photo by the way...

Sometimes we need to turn tings upside down in order to see it rightside up. I myself love rocks in the garden, especially the ones that are like little monoliths. Thank you for sharing. egmont

I'm with PJ. Perhaps these are just footings for a taller wooden structure with a roof, creating shelter for the Saturday market! Could be totally prosaic.

I saw many stone circles when I was there...and it's wonderful because there are never any tourists, lol. Beautiful atmosphere and capture here. I like the postwork.
