Title: The eye that sees you
Series: Berkeley Telephone Poles
Location: Berkeley, California
Date: October 7, 2006
Image: N01545M1c
Camera: Nikon D70, Full Frame
Commentary: Every time I am in Berkeley, I never know what I will find. It is always like a treasure hunt, but after almost two years of covering this type of subject matter and with hundreds of photographs later, it becomes harder to see something one has not captured previously.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and commenting. Vielen danke das sie die Zeit genommen haben meine Arbeit zu betrachten und darauf zu Kommentieren. Egmont

...you're very good at this sort of thing, you know!

Great "seeing" here, Egmont. Even with 20+ staples in her face, we can still see the humanity in her face. This is an excellent photo.

Poster over poster...flyer over flyer...time over time...and it will happen again. History as seen by his eyes. Interesting find again. Aloha

I find this series so very interesting, but this one is my favorite so far. A piece I'd gladly hang on my wall. Amazing.

good heavens, this is one heck of a collage! Excellent work done here.

I really love this Egmont! Of course I am kind of an eye in the face kind of person ;) I love the staples, and this is just a wonderful piece of work! :)

I've always found these telephone poles to be intriguing, and you've managed to make wonderful artwork out of the many layers of time, stapled & stapled. Brilliant work!!!!

How very interesting of you LordLotte to call this photograph ein 'wachsame auge' when I have one waiting to be uploaded soon with the title Ein wachsames Auge.

Well I find this picture quite haunting with that eye staring right out of the screen at me, but not in a scary way - just almost like she is crying out to be noticed and pulled from the tatters of the life that surround her!! Great emotional capture. xx

the poster eye does the trick here for the whole of the compo. a very good find. still I have two minds about the hues.

Great poster. Bravo

Wonderfully observed and catched. Another masterpiece, Egmont!

The lonely eye holds much of the attention here, but I can not help not to notice dominantly the "look" words just next to the main subject. Excelent shot.

How interesting is this one! A great serie you are showing. Like, also, your elegants frames and letters. Mature art, as one day i told you. Excells, Egmont!

This "watchful eye" is lick a sentinel, a sniper, incognito and under cover. The "LOOK" text is serendipidous and the partially shown Led Zepplin angel knock off indicates a desire to be free from the paper and staple prison. Interesting shapes, textures and colors as usual.

Wonderful composition the eye catch the attention very quickly. Exquisite work my friend

All I can say, is all three of these are truly fabulous. You could take many of these, and each would have it's own meaning to the viewer, because of the potential to read into and interpret them. ( AND they are also lovely to look at! ) You have an outstanding series going here, Egmont. I'd run with it...and then get them to a gallery. They strike me as having great potential on the market...

Yes you do have something with this. This is something I would walk into a gallery and walk out with. Brilliant work. So many interpretations.

Excellently done Egmont! That eye make the image so special! :) Very hard to find something like this in Toronto!

Another great shot. To think that at each one of those flyers postings they were new and crisp and bright colored is wild. Now a ripped torn collage of faded and jagged edges, unintended collective art one could say. Thanks for the vision!

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!
