I was sitting there for a long time waiting for him to open his wings but he refused to cooperate lol.

Fantastic capture! The details, colours and textures on both beast and plant are incredible!! I don't think this is a moth though - I (think) this is a Comma butterfly [Polygonia c-album] described as having tortoiseshell and ragged wings

Thank you for your comments, and thank you rockstrider for letting me know it's not a moth i wasn't sure myself so i assumed it was a moth because of the colouring and fluffy body lol.
