Description

Apo, UF & PSP. When I was busy creating the image at some point I saw three little birds and the song by that name as written by Bob Marley came to mind. The mind tends to wander on and so another song came to mind called 'a double tribute to the O.M.'. A song by the jamaican reggae group Culture, wich is a dedication to Bob: Brother Bob Marley, Marley, Marley... Brother Bob Marley, Marley, Marley... I said he died, yes he died for a righteous cause, He died for reggae music, music, music... yes, he died for reggae music, music music... I'd say he died, yeah he died for a righteous cause Well the song is longer but you get the idea. Now last year Culture was on Reggae Sundance, a festival where I also went, and was presented one of the very best reggae sets I've ever seen. The lead singer Joseph Hill brings his songs with so much power that you get goosebumps all over, and then on Reggae Sundance people hardly noticed it rained quite a bit so full of energy was the show. Unfortunately this was the last complete show they ever gave, one week later Joseph died on stage. I heard this quite some time later, and did not yet come to a dedi, but he really deserves it, so finally here it is, the text you've written for Bob goes for you now too. Thank you Joseph, for your beautiful music and the masterly concerts you have given. May Jah lay peace on you now. You'll be in my heart forever!

joseph hill and the culture, some of the best reggae laid down. for those of you that dont know about joseph, or his death, heres a quick link: http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/lifestyle/html/20060819T200000-0500_111575_OBS_SINGER_JOSEPH_HILL_DIES.asp apparently he "abruptly fell ill", and died on stage in berlin. great fractal and dedication by the way. good stuff.

I know Bob Marley, but not Joseph Hill. I'm sure I've heard his music around here, reggae is mixed in quite often on the station I listen too. When I have a chance, I will look for his music. Somehow this image feels right for reggae, and as a tribute. I see a wild and wonderful string type instrument mostly covering someone's face, yet the eyes show, big luminous eyes. This sings.
