Description

G'day. PLEASE ZOOM IN FOR FULL DETAILS !! Just a macro shot of the first frost of the winter season in Melbourne, Oz. Is getting cold now and there's snow in the nearby hills ... hooray!! Our drought still isnt over though with our dams at 28% full is still very serious. Hope we get some decent rains this winter. Cheers Louise

Hey Louise, excellent Macro, thankfully It doesn't get that cold here, they shut down our closest dam (North Pine Dam) it's at 14%, but they say all three are a combined 23%, The grevillea is Ned Kelly Stuart

As I sit here in near-100 degree F temps, knowing we will not see rain now for the next 4 months, I look at this in amazement. Hard to believe its cold somewhere in the world. Wonderful shot!

I hope you get some more rain soon, those dams are a worry not getting full. This is a great shot of the frost. We had a very white one here this morning and the sun isn't making much headway with clearing it either.

Really crisp and detailed micro. After the day I spent in the heat with my boy today at the zoo, this is very cool and refershing. Great work.
