Sllightly unfinished but I think it works. Oil wash on canvas.

slender elegant proud regal the popppies soaring skyward, eager to basque in the light and unfurl its petals to absorb the heat of spring sunshine. , yet a hint of mystery in the shadows and darkness beneath. makes the viewer ponder, is this an enchanted forest, waitng to burst into bloom, or the foreshadowing of winters solitiude. on a more spiritual level, out of the darkness comes light and beauty . one must stretch to reach and embrace it . queen mab
