Description

By stillness of dusk eyes meet horizon witnessed, absorbed, as the sun stretches and yawns, reaching for new colors to wear.. borrowed threads from an embrace of ancient trees Branches and I are common, limbs achingly outstretched, wanting, both figurative and tangible That infinite expanse of sky. Bound by all earthen, contemplate instead the grounding of feet upon land Rich, self-sustaining, ne'er dependant save the pulsing desire for synergy's replenishment. One with the landscape, pencil-sketched shades of grey against the cloud-cloaked skies of soul's winter Existence's contradiction personified: wanderlust beckons its familiar, seductive lover's whisper Echo of the river's meandering course winding its way instead through my veins Daunted by rekindled lust, a need for firm rooting Planting, in itself, an earth of contradiction Exemplified mitosis of contemplation Division born of longing for the mundane Yet tendrilled with the shun of hemstitching into shadow-boxed, shelved existence of the wee-minded Oh, dare refute there to be comfort in the soul's solitude My words, my sentiments, thoughts this day.
