Description
Well this is just a WIP... I'm trying to create a character by Laurel K. Hamilton. Most people are familiar with her Anita Blake (Vampire Huntress) series, but I couldn't get into them...then I read "Kiss of Shadows" the first of her Merry Gentry series and fell in love. She is faithful to old Celtic mythology. Her fairies are dark and dangerious and loads of fun. Doyle is the Queen of the Unseelie's chief gaurd and assasin. He is described as being blacker than night and especially deadly, but with features that Merry finds "too delicate". His hair isn't actually short...it is pulled back in a tight braid and touches the floor...he likes to show off his ears (which are supposed to have multiple silver hoops in them...anyone know where I can get some?)
If you have read the books (or not) please comment. Would love to have feedback. (He isn't quite as black as described because I couldn't get any of his features to show, lol)
As always thanks for looking :)
Credits:
DAZ - Mike3
Morris and Lobo75 - LM Forbidden realm...darkened the skintone and eyes
Lyrra Madril - Wonderful freebie Jaw morph to make the jawline less square
Me - Chin magnet to point his chin and other morphs.

Sweet boy, especially for an M3. Look for pirate packs for M3, I believe that's where my M3 earring came from.

nice! first off, for getting his features to show: you can have a lot of fun with highlights. there are tons of great skin shaders out there, and you've already done nice job here. also, there's lighting. his chest is catching more of the light than his face. i'm assuming his face and features are more important, and as such a sort of reversal in the lighting focus might fit your purpose better. as for silver hoops, you just need to put a bit of metal shading on a torus- one of the primitive props in poser. if you want a more illustrated look, a grey with bright highlights and a reflection map will do. if you want more realistic metal, bagginsbill has a thread about how to do metal in poser 6 at runtime dna.

Oh, another Laurell fan! I was thinking of making Doyle myself (he's my fav). You did great job on him, really.
