Description

This been kinking around on my hard drive and each time I was going to post it I get some new photos that I was excited about and like a little kid run and post it here. I say I going to post it today. They tell me people around here use to paint they houses like this to show they place in the commenity. But the people never tell me what what. They do not know the colors. This could be a rich man house or a poor man house. Or the doctor house. I do not know. I going to find out more as I ask around. I got more shoots of this house and when I find out I pass the info top you. I know it late now I been to the hospital and have to put my wife back in the mental place. I did comment on some but do not have time to comment . If I missed yours I get to it tomorrow.{I hope] lol Got to get athe images ready for the show next month too. I just uploaded this because of habit lol a bad one??? No it help me with what going on I at rest here with friends. thanks for looking and comments

Hey, the mauve and white colors really bring out the charm of this old place! And there is all kinds of stuff like little statues, wind chimes, urns, and chairs to set it off. Neato shot there, my friend! And the best to you and yours in these troubled times.

We have some old Victorian homes painted in these wonderful colors too! But I don't think they have the meaning that these cajun homes have! this is an awesome photo, I'm so glad you posted it! Can't wait to hear more about the meaning of the colors! I am sending you good thoughts Jocko, strong thoughts of health and happiness and joy, and strong healing thoughts to your wife. I wish I could really do that, that it would really work. You and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers.

That's a Cajun house for sure! I've noticed when I drive through Acadiana that the houses of real Cajuns are all bright colors like this. "Les Americans" have more muted colors, or just good old white. My prayers for your wife and family, mon vieux.
