Description

Hello all!! After Georgy's wedding my family took a quick weekend trip driving thru nearby Zion, Bryce Canyon and then went to the north rim of the Grand canyon. Visibility was limited but we had an enjoyable family trip one that was special to my heart! I have not hardly begun to even look at the many shots taken but found this one taken with my pocket cam high noon driving into Bryce today( we only stayed there briefly in the afternoon and I was a bit sad we didn't have enough time to stay till early evening light but had much to cover for a weekend trip with three squirming pre-teen girls, a wedding , three national parks all packed into a mini-van lol). I will try and get the my slr canon shots from the trip soon ,but thought I would throw this one up for now... Hoping all you Dads' had a wonderful Fathers Day !! Love to you aLL!! ((( big hugs ))) ♥ Kimmers :O)

I was unhappy that I missed Bryce as I wanted to go there.when you got several people all with different ideas, not any different than your girls, it is hard to do what you want. next chance I will go by myself.stunning vista

That is so gorgeous with the lighting playing hopscotch among the canyon walls and crevices! A great POV, and fine clarity and colors in this magnificent capture, Kims!

Life is all about choices.... The planning for our summer holiday in the U.S. last year drove me nuts: what to see (and what not) in three weeks time!! Everyone (my wife, my 2 daughters and me) had a personal 'must see'-list. I'm afraid my list was too long, so unfortunately (and with pain in my heart) I had to forget about Bryce Canyon. Looking at this picture brings back the pain, because you captured this landscape so well!! But don't you underestimate me....I'll be back!!

This looks incredible for your pocket cam. Mainly, your framing with the tree limb across the top and the angle of the canyon is so veeeery strong. You are right, those late afternoon shots or morning light always ads more drama but this still looks incredible with the hard shadows. Zion is amazing, I'll have to hold my breath for those. . .
