Description
My first post at this site.
This is an oil painting - yes the old way. 450x450mm
It was painted on site while standing in a cold creek over about ten weeks. It has about ten glaze layers.
All my works are metaphores for human life.
This is the second work in a series called metaphores of life.
This work is about hanging on. The Angophora tree has the ability to cling to the rocks. This root system actually flows over a meter deep overhang. and is nearly 2 meters wide. In colour it is realistic. Angophoras turn bright orange every three years in summer when they loose there bark. In the other two years they are pink and a deep red brown.
