Description

Sunday we saw this little one walking around our yard. He/She did not seem to be too afraid of us. We thought it looked awful young. We realized that our neighbor had cut down a tree and we believe it was knocked out of it's nest. We were going to take it to a shelter or vet the next day if we still saw it the next morning. Bless it's poor little heart it did not make it. My heart is broken not only for it's short life, but for my daughter who so wanted to take care of it and take it to the doctor. Thank you so kindly for taking a peek! I hope you will all have a blessed week!

Awww what a sad story for this little fella least he's immortalized in this photo. He looks like he's pleading with you to help him in this picture.

Chances are this was not the only baby in that nest. Probably at least one, maybe 2 others I would think. At this age, exposure to a cool night is all it takes... Sorry you could not save it but unless you have done it before and know how, you probably couldn't have helped it even with a trip to the vet the next day. A Wildlife rehab center is about the only hope and it would have to be taken there right away... Lovely shot of this sweetheart.

This time of year is very sad sometimes. One sees these little ones every now and again, and one knows that they stand little or no chance. As was mentioned, you have immortalized it and it will be remembered!
